Distributed Observatories for the Coastal Environment

The project’s goal is to assist in the rapid deployment of coastal observatories in Massachusetts Bay by resolving outstanding technical issues. A communications infrastructure between observation networks and models and a control infrastructure between observation systems and models will be implemented. The researchers will also work with governmental regulatory agencies to write operational policies pertaining to observatories.
